The purpose SSC designed sscAVENGER uses a HPDE core fuselage riveted together with G10 skins. This composite fuselage is very light and durable. The sscAVENGER uses proven AVENGER flying stab and fin design technology. This makes the sscAVENGER groove just like it's big brother.

The sscAVENGER uses a TEAMseaholm exclusive SD6060 airfoil with 1" deep EPP leading edge. The SD6060 was choosen from numerious 9-10% thickness foils. The wind tunnel data for the SD6060 shows minimal drag and excellent lift/drag characteristics throughout the Reynolds number range. This makes the new sscAVENGER faster, quicker and lighter then the 972S. The modular design allows for easy replacement of damaged components such as fin, sub-fin, flying stab, skid and motor mount. The new sscAVENGER is a great flying SSC combat ship. Eric Wenger used sscAVENGER to win SSC at the 2005 Lone Star Nationals in Paris, TX.
